Growing crops in the office

My new Russian office-mate Olga rescued a plant
that someone had thrown away. It slowly stopped
shedding all its leaves and soon started
producing a couple small blossoms. One day I
noticed large green pods and these eventually
turned into red peppers! We are scared to eat
them but we are enjoying the colors.
